PBA TOY DRIVE
The North Plainfield PBAconducted their annual toy drive. With input from the local office of Somerset County Social Services, the PBA obtained a list of families in need. The PBA selected 4 local families and were able to fill their entire wish lists. PBA President Conceicao said: “This allowed the PBA to connect with local families and assist with real needs such as clothing, blankets, and diapers, as well as toys”.

Mayor Giordano, Jr. administers oath of office to Fire Chief William Eaton
Mayor Michael Giordano, Jr. administers the oath of office to North Plainfield Fire Chief William Eaton at the January 1st Reorganization Meeting. Chief Eaton’s 9 year old daughter, Miranda Eaton, holds the Bible for her father. In addition to the Chief, the following were appointed to four-year terms as directors for the Borough – David Hollod, Administration; Chief William Parenti, Police; Patrick DiBlasio, Finance; and Eric Bernstein, Law.

Frank Righetti Takes Oath Of Office
Mayor Michael Giordano, Jr. administers the oath of office to Councilman Frank Righetti, who begins his fourth four-year term on the Borough Council. Councilman Righetti is the longest serving member of the current Council first holding office in 2000. Holding the Bible for Councilman Righetti is former Mayor Janice Allen who stood in for Councilman Righetti’s wife Joanne, who was unable to attend the Reorganization Meeting.

Mayor Michael Giordano, Jr. congratulates Councilwoman Keiona Miller on taking the oath of office for a four-year term on the Borough Council, while her parents Shirley and Eric Miller look on.

Frank “Skip” Stabile Takes Oath Of Office
Council President Frank “Skip” Stabile takes the oath of office from Mayor Michael Giordano, Jr. for a four-year term to the North Plainfield Borough Council at the January 1st Reorganization Meeting. Holding the Bible for her son is Pat Stabile while Councilman Stabile’s father Frank looks on.

Administering the oath is Borough Attorney, Eric Bernstein. Holding the Bible for Mayor Giordano is his son, Michael. Looking on is the Mayor’s wife Edie, daughter Alissa and son-in-law Michael DiScala.

three towns to share municipal court services
North Plainfield has entered into a Shared Services Agreement with The Borough of Watchung and Greenbrook Township which combines operations of their municipal courts. The measure is designed to save substantial costs for each town.
